* Control of sulfur oxides, boric acid, hydrogen and hydrogen fluoride (HF) gases from glass furnaces.
Spray Scrubbers conduct four operations:
1) atomization;
2) gas-droplet mixing;
3) drying of liquid droplets;
4) removal and storage of a dry product.
These operations are carried out in a tower or a specific ship. The atomizer distribute has a liquid is an alkaline compound which react with acidic components of the gas stream. The liquid must be distributed evenly in the dryer and thoroughly mixed with the hot gases into droplets of a size, before using a dryer surface is evaporated.
In typical spray dryer used for acid gas control, the droplet diameters of 50 to 200 microns. The larger droplets are the major concerns because they survive was long enough to compromise on equipment surfaces. In general, a trade-off must be made on the largest quantity of liquid that is sprayed can and will be the largest droplets, which are tolerated by the device.
An important aspect of the spray dryer design and operation is the production and control of the gas flow inside the drying chamber. Because of the flow importnace spray scrubbers are usually classified on the basis of the gas flow in the direction of the chamber to the spray:
– In the current scrubber, the liquid feed with the flow of the hot Gas is sprayed;
– Scrubber Countercourent sprayed in the lining against the flow of the gas;
– In Mixed Flow Scrubber, there is a combined direct current and countercurrent.
There are different types of nebulizers. High-speed rotating disks to achieve atomization through centrifugal motion. Nozzles are frequently used – Both pnneumatic centrifugal pressure nozzles and jets. In the centrifugal pressure nozzle for atomization energy is solely due to the pressure of the liquid feed supplied. In the two-fluid nozzles, air (or steam) provides the most energy needs, the atomized liquid. As a result, two-fluid nozzle can be very fine atomization, to produce especially in the viscous materials.
Spray air scrubbers include meter reading valves, pumps and controls and compressores For optimal chemical feed and temperature in the gas cleaning system assurance.
