Do I need to be present in court to “set the matter of Case Management Conf”
I received a letter saying that my ex & his lawyer will be appearing in court to set the matter for a Case Management Conference and/or Settlement Conference.
Is this something I attend as well? Or just his lawyer & him?
This case is in Washoe County, NV.
I don’t have a lawyer. I live in Michigan now, so trying to find a lawyer 2,500 miles away is becoming difficult.
It depends on the rules of court for your state and county, which you don’t identify.
If YOU have a lawyer, ask your lawyer.
EDIT – someone needs to be there from your side. If you live 2500 miles away, you would be better off hiring a lawyer in the state where all of this is happening to handle things for you.
